Scope of Services, Design & Supply

W8 Tram
  • Initial engineering consultancy providing electrical subsystem specifications and system integration works
  • Integration of a DC traction chopper with local engineering partners,
  • Design and integration of Kiepe Electric KGU105 auxiliary inverters to supply the driver’s air conditioning, passenger heaters and brake compressor
  • Design and integration of Syko Power HBL.H battery chargers to provide 24V auxiliary power and battery charging
  • Design and refurbish master controller upgrade to maintain existing appearance and feel, whilst integrating with the new DC chopper
  • Refurbishment and modification of driver and passenger heaters from 600Vdc to 230Vac to improve safety and reliability
  • Design and supply driver’s centre and side control consoles
  • Design and supply passenger 24Vdc LED lighting upgrade with heritage look and feel
